The frame is a wood base with the carving done in gesso/plaster, the whole of which is gilded.

Condition: There are restorations evident in the center section of the painting where the canvas may have been cut. There is a horizontal crease about 2/3rds of the way down where the canvas had been folded on one time. Relined. Many minor restorations to the frame, and wear to the gilding in many spots.
