An Italian Renaissance walnut cassone, late 16th century, with winged female mythological figures on the front corners and center, with mask faces on front and sides.

Overall in good, sturdy condition, with wear and worm holes appropriate for it's age.  Early associated top with restorations (see photos).  Early associated front claw feet and later back feet.  Missing lock.
